Only 1% of institutionalized children from abuse in the family explicitly identify the right not to be abused institutional capacity to seek help if they are exposed or assist in a situation of this kind is reduced, the result of a research conducted by ActiveWatch.

Project initiators have shown that research has revealed that there is a degree of confusion about the definition of « right child » among institutionalized children. Asked to define this phrase, most often indicated a certain legal minors without explaining clearly the meaning of this concept, stating some elements of education and recreation, and others failed to render a right clearly. Thus, ten percent of the children mentioned « the right to be informed of the rights of the child » and 14 percent did not know any reference to this.
